Hi, I’m me.

Hi, I’m Madi.

I’m a literary and historical fiction novelist—a genre buster, really. My debut will be in the world of erotica.

I’m a lover of vintage, a dreamer and creator, and I burn up the stipulations of this world.
Feminist.

My debut novella, Hello LAlaland, will be released April 1, 2014.

I began writing as a young child, penning anything my mind carried my away to – from poetry to short stories. My first novel was completed at age fourteen, though I’ve never published it. Perhaps someday.
Hello LAlaland, a contemporary romance, began as an idea for self-publishing, but when I received word from my dear friend, Christy, about The Writer’s Coffee Shop Publishing House, I decided to take a leap of faith and submit. One week later, I received an offer to publish.

I moved back to Colorado from Los Angeles with my husband, Jon, and our three-year-old daughter, but LAlaland is home. Jon is the Director of Music Licensing and Business Affairs for a music publishing company, and helps me with many of the ideas for my books.

  1. Madi- You followed me on Twitter and I read your about me and felt inspired to tell you a little bit about me too. You sound so interesting and spunky, like myself so I thought we could be web friends. I am a published author and have written a YA paranormal romance which started out as an adult novel but ended up YA so my daughter could read it. I hand wrote novels at 12, 2000 pages worth. They were crap and will never see the light of day but were great practice! I am a feminist and was raised in the American Indian religion which influenced my first book, Ethereal Fury. Check out my blog if you get a chance! Congrats on your first published work! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you navigate through the marketing/promotional aspect of your journey! I’m published but I am my own agent so social marketing is all I do now until I can get noticed and start selling more books! http://geminirising1.blogspot.com/

  2. You’re young, bold and brave – that’s the killer combo for making things happen. I wish I’d realized sooner that words were following me. They were there behind me all the while, I just didn’t turn around enough. I tried balancing my artwork and a publishing career, then marriage, babies…my writing drifted away like blowing paper for a while. For the past eleven years I reclaimed writing – and since have generated 8 YA or MR stories of which 3 have gotten callbacks – still can’t break the heavy ice but I hope to soon. You have a great and inspiring story, I’ll look for your book when it’s officially out-is it yet?
